Early morning, we proceed to the International Passenger Port and take one of the best and fastest ship to Estonia, the capital of the Baltics. Travel time is approximately 2 hours. Never get bored on board as you place your bets in their mini-casino, do some shopping in their duty-free shops or drink a pint or 2 of the local beers at their pub and restaurants.

Welcome to Tallinn, the medieval capital of Northern Europe. We disembark from the boat and we proceed towards the ruins of the welcome gate of the once proud medieval town of Tallinn. Prepare to have a leisurely walk for 2 – 3 hours with plenty of stops. Your guide will tell you every nook and corner, spires and towers you will see all over Tallinn. Try to count how many spires you see?

Enjoy a medieval lunch fit for Knight at 3 Dragons Tavern. Watch out for that nasty peasant server! Spend the rest of the afternoon for some souvenir shopping before heading out to the dock for the voyage to Stockholm, Sweden! Enjoy an early breakfast in the boat followed by Stockholm sightseeing tour. Start the day with a visit to the The Royal Palace, Riddarholm Church, and the blue and gold chambers in the City, where the annual Nobel Prize banquet is held. Visit also the Old Town, Tivolo Grona Lund & Vasa Museum, where you will find the only remaining preserved 17th Century boat in the world. In the afternoon grab a quick last minute shopping before boarding again another boat for Helsinki. Explore the entertainment facilities on board like the casino, duty free shops, bar and sauna. Helsinki! Hel Yeah! Today we explore this once fishing village turned capital city by going around the city’s famous sights and monuments. We start with the iconic Sibelius Monument just in the neighborhood of Töölö Bay then proceed to the magnificent Stone Church locally known as Tempelliaukio Kirkko, as the name suggests a church hewn out from a solid mountain of rock. Then we proceed to Market Square and continue our tour by foot going towards the Red Russian Orthodox Church. As we head towards the inner part of the city, take notice of 2 simple but very important buildings fronting the Market Square. This is the Office and residence of the Finnish president. On its left is the City Hall of Helsinki.

Beyond the row of buildings just a few blocks away we will visit Helsinki’s most photographed building, the White Church inside the famous Senate Square. For lunch we take you to one of the best Finnish restaurant in town, Ravintola Aino. Later in the afternoon proceed to the Central Railway Station for your overnight trip via Santa Claus Express to Rovaniemi! Overnight VR Train.

Arrive by train at Rovaniemi in the morning. Private transfer to hotel (early check-in upon availability). Located in the heart of Lapland, Rovaniemi is a city which lies on the banks of the Kemijoki River, between the Ounasvaara and Korkalovaara Hills. A true winter wonderland, it is but a short distance from the Arctic Circle, and the perfect base from which to enjoy all that Lapland has to offer.

Accommodation will be at either the Scandic Rovaniemi Hotel or the legendary Rantasipi Pohjanhovi Hotel; both of these are modern, 4-star hotels and are conveniently located in the city centre, close to restaurants, bars, and shops.

REINDEER and AURORA BOREALIS SAFARI

Your adventure begins as you travel by car to an authentic reindeer farm for a reindeer sleigh ride. The traditional winter mode of travel in Lapland, this is a unique experience and passing through pristine, snowy forests this way is enchanting. Following the reindeer-led ride, sit back by the campfire and enjoy a warming cup of hot coffee with a tasty bun, while you listen to learn about the life of reindeer herding.

Following this magical sleigh ride, you will then embark on what is a true, once in a lifetime experience. Take an exhilarating ride via snowmobile through the magical Arctic night, through snowy forests and over a frozen river, to marvel at the bright stars and moonlit sky. With a little luck, the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, will appear for a truly amazing vista.

Snack and sip warming beverages by the campfire while your guide tells you more, in depth, about Lapland and the Aurora Borealis. This two-in-one safari takes you into the evening. You will return to your hotel, where you can enjoy a hearty dinner. Following the Nothern lights safari, relax at leisure: enjoy a drink at the hotel bar, take a dip in the swimming pool, or savor the true Nordic experience of the sauna. Overnight Rovaniemi.

After breakfast, visit the Santa Claus Village and meet the man himself. Send post to your friends from the Santa Claus post office and surprise them where you are.

In the afternoon, you will transfer by private car to the central train station, from where you will depart in comfort for the town of Kemi, on the Gulf of Bothnia. Accommodation in Kemi will be at the Cumulus Hotel (or similar). Evening at leisure. Overnight Kemi.

Following breakfast, you will be transferred for an unforgettable adventure on the Icebreaker, Sampo. This majestic vessel cruises though thick ice in the Gulf of Bothnia, and is Kemi’s greatest tourist attraction. Amidst the thundering sound of the Sampo’s steel crushing tonnes of ice, tour the ship, and even you can dip in the icy sea!

When you return from the cruise in the afternoon, you can discover the beautiful, unspoilt town of Kemi at leisure. Visit the Snow Castle. In the evening you will travel via private transfer to the railway station for your return overnight trip to Helsinki. Overnight VR train.
